"Ahir flor, demà torba" at Colapso Store
We see the Sagrada Familia everyday. The metro entrance faces north so you have to turn around to see the temple when you get up the stairs. One day a turist turned around and exclaimed: "holy shit!". We thought it was very accurate depiction. Last year we made a collection of vases inspired by flowers and we wanted to do a figure recycling the PLA of failed printings and models. We didi a ceramic model that looked like the zombie of Gaudí that Miguel Noguera descrives in Hervi un Oso: "Gaudí gets out of his tomb as a zombie and visits his buildings but when he arrives the workers expel him throwing rocks". The molten plastic organic forms over the clay cast also remind us of the imaginery Gaudí and Jujol developed. We thought that the references were unconciusly leaking like ghosts: artificial nature, life and deatg. Maybe the temple is expiatory indeed. The vases made of a plastic made of cornsarch inspired by flowers melted into strange objects and someday will be melted again and they will become aything else (like all of us). Yesterday flowers, tomorrow turf.
